Lawyers Mutual NC Welcomes Summer Law Intern Dominic Ekezie

Dominic Ekezie

Lawyers Mutual NC is pleased to welcome Dominic Ekezie, a rising 2L at Duke University School of Law, as our summer law intern. Dominic graduated summa cum laude with a B.A. in Political Science from the University of Georgia in May 2024.

Before beginning law school, Dominic was a pre-law scholar at Eversheds Sutherland in Atlanta. In addition, he worked as a recruiter assisting lawyers with lateral career changes at Opus Lex Partners in Atlanta. At the University of George, he was actively involved in mock trial and debate, the president of the transfer student club, and studies abroad in Liverpool, England.

During his six-week internship at our Cary office, Dominic will work alongside claims attorneys and other departments, gaining practical legal experience through research, document drafting, and attendance at mediations and arbitrations. His schedule also includes external professional development activities designed to expand her network and enhance her professionalism skills. As a company that values meaningful relationships, Lawyers Mutual encourages interns to forge connections within the legal community that will benefit them throughout law school and into their professional careers.

Lawyers Mutual is proud to support the future of the legal profession by participating in the North Carolina Bar Association’s Minorities in the Profession (MIP) Summer Associate Program. Through this partnership, we welcome talented minority law students and reaffirm our ongoing commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in the legal community.
