Julie Beavers   |  Director, Marketing & Business Development

Julie Beavers joined Lawyers Mutual in October 2018 as Director of Client Services, where she provided risk management resources and education to policyholders and the legal community. Recently, she transitioned to the role of Director of Marketing & Business Development, with a focus on insured retention.

An active member of the North Carolina legal community, Julie is a frequent speaker at CLE and professional development programs. She serves on the Board of Legal Specialization and the Editorial Board at the NC State Bar, and has previously been an Advisory Member of the CLE Committee. Julie is involved with the North Carolina Bar Association, where she is a member of the Small Firm & Technology Council and has held leadership roles, including Chair of the Transitioning Lawyers Commission and the Professional Wellness Committee. Julie is also active with several business organizations, including the Raleigh Chapter of the Legal Marketing Association, the NABRICO Marketing & Communications Group, the National Association of Mutual Insurance Companies (NAMIC), and the Professional Liability Underwriting Society (PLUS).

A native of eastern North Carolina, Julie holds a Bachelor of Science from East Carolina University and a Human Resource Management Certification from Duke University. Prior to joining Lawyers Mutual, she held professional positions at Ward and Smith, P.A., Campbell University School of Law, and Womble Carlyle Sandridge & Rice, PLLC.
