Lawyers Mutual Awarded the Balanced Life Workplace Award by NCAWA
CARY, NC – Lawyers Mutual is the proud recipient of this year’s NC Association of Women Attorneys’ Balanced Life Workplace Award. The Balanced Life Workplace Award is given to an employer who has distinguished itself by establishing policies and practices that assist lawyers in achieving balance between their work and personal lives. Claims Attorney, Laura Loyek and Client Services Vice President, Camille Stell accepted the award on behalf of Lawyers Mutual at NC Association of Women Attorneys’ annual banquet on Friday, October 4, 2013.
Claims Attorney, Laura Loyek nominated Lawyers Mutual for this award. In her nomination, Loyek discussed Lawyers Mutual’s flexible work schedule and commitment to community service.
“Lawyers Mutual is dedicated to supporting North Carolina lawyers; that same dedication goes into supporting the staff. I have been with Lawyers Mutual since 2009 as claims counsel. Work-life balance is an essential part of maintaining my family and sanity. As a mother, it’s important that I am able to have my career and focus on my family. Lawyers Mutual is a company that understands the importance of having a life outside of the office. Our company offers scheduling and flexibility that ensures employees are able to balance all the hats we wear,” said Loyek in her nomination.
Lawyers Mutual applauds the NC Association of Women Attorneys for creating the Balanced Life Workplace Award. By creating the Award, they bring awareness to an important issue that lawyers and legal professionals struggle with—how to maintain balance while working in a stressful career. Lawyers and the legal professionals who support them are bombarded daily with legal problems and business challenges. In creating the Balanced Life Workplace Award, the NC Association of Women Attorneys encourages employers to do more and do better by their employees.
In closing her nomination, Loyek said, “We focus on providing great service to the attorneys of North Carolina and work hard to do that. At the same time, there is room here for balanced lives. “
