Lawyers Mutual Claims Counsel Appointed to North Carolina State Bar Committees
Cary, NC – Lawyers Mutual congratulates claim counsel Warren Savage and Mark Scruggs for their appointments to the North Carolina State Bar Ethics Committee and North Carolina State Bar Authorized Practice Committee, respectively.
Warren Savage joined Lawyers Mutual as claim counsel in 2005. He focuses on litigation, insurance law, appellate advocacy, criminal matters and professional responsibility in his work with Lawyers Mutual. Savage spent several years as a high school English teacher and junior varsity basketball coach before entering the legal profession.
Mark Scruggs came to Lawyers Mutual in March 2001 as claims counsel. Scruggs works with Lawyers Mutual primarily in the area of litigation-related claims, as well as workers’ compensation and family law matters. He has over 14 years’ experience as a trial attorney concentrating in insurance defense litigation.
Both Savage and Scruggs are very active in the legal community. Savage will be beginning his second term on the Ethics Committee. Both attorneys speak frequently at CLEs around the state concerning professional responsibility and malpractice claims avoidance.
