Lawyers Mutual NC Announces Changes to Its Board of Directors
Lawyers Mutual, North Carolina’s leading provider of professional liability insurance for lawyers, is pleased to announce the appointment of J.D. DuPuy and E. Stewart Poisson to its Board of Directors, effective Friday, July 26, 2024. J.D. and Stewart replace long-serving board members Gray Wilson and Bill Pappas. Gray transitions to Emeritus status on the Board. Bill recently retired from law practice.
J.D. is a partner at Ruff, Bond, Cobb, Wade & Bethune, L.L.P. in Charlotte, NC, the law firm where he has spent his entire legal career. J.D. concentrates his practice on property tax foreclosures, commercial real estate, and estate administration. He completed his undergraduate studies at Davidson College and earned his law degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.
Stewart practices in Wilmington, NC at Poisson, Poisson and Bower. She focuses her practice on litigation. She practices in the areas of Personal Injury and Workers’ Compensation and handles all appellate work for the firm. Stewart earned her undergraduate and law degrees from the University of North Carolina.
