Did you know we now offer a resource for our future attorneys? Lawyers Mutual is proud to introduce our Student Resource Center (SRC) as a way to continue to build and maintain our presence in the legal education community. Lawyers Mutual always looks for ways to contribute to the advancement of the legal profession, and what better way to do so than by reaching out to future legal practitioners?

What makes the Student Resource Center so unique?  The SRC is housed on Twitter at @LMLNC_SRC. Millennial attorneys are tech savvy; they want information quickly, and we want to meet them where they are—social media.

Our twitter-based resource center shares valuable information relevant to law school students such as exam tips, employment outlook, advice from senior lawyers and much more. We also share updates from the career services departments of our local law schools.

@LMLNC_SRC launched in late April, and we are working to spread the word. The support of so many members of the career services departments of our North Carolina law schools is a key component of the success of this endeavor. As the SRC continues to grow, we will incorporate the resource center into our website. We hope to offer law students an opportunity to contribute to our blog and have monthly “twitterviews” to give students a chance to get questions answered from legal professionals.

In addition to our SRC, Lawyers Mutual staff members often participate in various law school programs on topics such as the generational differences in law firms and offered communication tips for millennials. Our claims attorneys also participate in several law school programs each year. We are always eager to connect with the future of the profession through our programs and now through our Student Resource Center.

Whether you’re a past, present or future law school student, we’re positive you’ll find the information shared on our Student Resource Center to be helpful and informative. In reaching out to the career services departments at local law schools we are able to ensure that we are providing content that is relevant and of interest to law students—1L and beyond.
