Resources Available from Lawyers Mutual to Help You Find What You Need

Do you ever find yourself looking for information but aren’t sure where to look? Perhaps you aren’t even sure exactly what you are looking for.

Lawyers Mutual has a multitude of resources available on our website, www.lawyersmutualnc.com. These resources can help you find what you need quickly. Here are a few of our most popular items:

• Articles. Articles cover topics from specific areas of law to office management to wellness. These are published monthly as part of the Lawyers Mutual newsletter.
• Book lending. Exclusively available for insured law firms, the Lawyers Mutual book lending library offers titles in a wide range of subjects.
• Practice Guides. These risk management guides include practice tips, forms, and checklists on topics varying from specific areas of law to office management.
• HELP Team. When faced with a situation where an attorney is no longer capable of practicing law, the HELP (“Handling Emergency Legal Problems”) Team is available with resources and guidance.
• CLE. We just wrapped up our 2013-2014 seminar series, and we are beginning to work on programs for next year. Lawyers Mutual offers free CLE for attorneys and staff of insured law firms from October to February. We also make manuscripts from previous presentations available for download.
• Videos. These are short risk management tips presented by Lawyers Mutual claims counsel. We also have a history video of the company, both in long and short form.
• Alerts. When something significantly effects the practice of law, such as changes in statutes or the persistence in email scams attacking attorneys, Lawyers Mutual issues malpractice alerts highlighting the potential traps for malpractice involved.
